happy fourth of july

we went and watched the fireworks in a parking lot close to the highlands last night with my 2 brothers. it was fun and they had some pretty great fireworks.this morning we went to the parade. we have a pretty good shady spot that we found last year so that was nice. audrey loved it. its so much fun going to parades when you have a little kid.
and tonight we go to gramps house for hot dogs and hamburgers and to swim. what a great weekend.

things you do with a toddler who is home sick

last friday when audrey was sick this is what we had for lunch. you spread butter on both sides of the bread and then pour the egg in the cut out hole and cook it in the oven for awhile. make sure that the sides are down tight, or else the egg runs out (as you can see in the picture). before picture first and then the after. it was pretty good, alittle bland. we also made fruity cheerio necklaces. audrey preferred the eating of the cheerios as to stringing them. but it was still fun.

we did muffin tin monday

yesterday audrey had a fever so we stayed home from work. since that was pretty much her only symptom she needed some entertainment and fun for the day. so i brought out the muffin tin for lunch. i have seen this on lots of the craft blogs i read and have wanted to try it for a long time. normally people only use the 6 muffin tin, but i could only find my 12. it was fun but i think i was more excited about it than audrey. oh well, she is sick after all.
