orthotics

well my son has orthotics now. they are little boots that we strap on that stabilize his ankle and help him learn the correct way to stand (i had to choose a design for them, i chose skateboarders). they were expensive but i do think they are helping. so enjoy the pictures of his awesome shoes (you have to buy a size up and make sure they are wide enough) and of him standing and pushing his toy.

dress up space

i have been trying to find a better solution for my daughter's dress up clothes. throwing them in a bin is not working. she can never find anything. i have seen many cute ideas on pinterest and blogs but they always required me to add more furniture to my daughter's already small room. then the other day i had an idea. why not clear a space in her bookshelf and add a tension rod. so far it is working well.

heart sandwiches

i made heart peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for audrey and i today. i just used one of my heart cookie cutters and it worked great.

im a winner, again!!

i won another prize. this one was from family fun magazine. it was for stuff from author mo willems. i got 4 pigeon books, pigeon silly bands, window clings, a game and a plush pigeon. yeah!! audrey is so excited and i have to say those books are pretty awesome and funny.

my "new" pants

after my "what scares me" fashion challenge i realized that i will never wear those white pants outside the house. its just too risky. so i dyed them this weekend. now they are a cranberry color. its not exactly the purple i was looking for but i like them and have even worn them 2 times. hurray for rit dye. i have used that stuff to dye pants, dresses and even converse shoes.

valentines day

audrey and i had matching shirts and headbands for valentines day. i made the headbands last year, i got the idea from a blog. and the shirts i whipped up this weekend from an idea in my favorite magazine: family fun.

amazing book

i just finished reading Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo. i read it in one sitting with a handkerchief by my side. the only way i can describe this book is that it makes you homesick for a place you've never been, but a place that you know you were meant to spend eternity in.

my son is a handful

this is what my son opened on his own and dove into the other day at mom's house. he is so funny how he figures things out and has to be in things. oh, this boy is and will be a handful, but he's also too cute. :)

edible homemade playdough

for my son's therapy his therapist suggested having him play with playdough. so audrey and i made some edible playdough today, because miles is definitely in that "everything must go in the mouth" phase. he was unsure but i think he kind of liked it. it was alittle too sticky so we will add more flour for next time.

day 10 - what scares me?

today's challenge was "something that scares you".
wearing all white scares me to death. i feel like there is a stain waiting to happen at every step. so that's what i chose.

day 9 - open to interpretation

i really liked the color of the skirt in the inspiration photo but i could not find anything in that color.

oh well. its called open to interpretation, so here's my interpretation (navy neutrals with a pop of color).
